I was previously a loyal customer to the Bamboo House, but after my last experience I will never return. I had placed a take out order for House Chicken, Orange Chicken, and chicken dumplings. Once I returned home with the food, I noticed first hand the quantity was less than normal. As I proceeded to eat I was very displeased. The food did not taste fresh at all, and it was not edible. I saved the portion I did not eat, and disgarded the rest. Once I went back into the restaurant as soon as they opened the next day, and explained what happened, they said I was dishonest because they only serve food made to order and it is always fresh. I begged to differ with them, so they called the manager. She was not willing to refund my money, she only wanted to offer me soup instead, because I told her my stomach was upset immediately after eating that food. She too insulted me with her questions about what had happened, and by the end, only refunded me half of what I paid, because I do not bring every last bit of the food back. They would not communicate in English when the employees were speaking to eachother, they only had looks on their face of disgust of why I was displeased. I have never received service like that from a restaurant, I will never be back, and I will be happy to tell my friends not to return.

The chicken is chewy and rubbery. After 2 bites I informed the server that the food was not edible. Instead of removing the food from the table and asking if there was something else the restaurant could offer me, he lectured me on what I should have ordered and offered to bring me a to go container. He would not remove the plate of food from my table in fear that I would think I would not have to pay for it. I had to insist that he take the plate away. He then brought the bill to me for the food I could not eat. I paid the bill in full and left. Needless to say I will not be going back there. The food and the service were a horrific experience.
